FAQ for prospective LocalHubs
Commissions, requirements, supplies, payouts and contract: everything you need to know before turning your shop into a LocalHub.
Commissions & payouts
How much do I earn per parcel?
A minimum of €3.00 for every parcel shipped. LocalHubs that handle more parcels also earn an extra percentage per parcel. That is roughly ten times what competitors pay (between €0.25 and €0.40 per parcel).
Simulate my earnings →Is the €3.00 minimum commission per parcel guaranteed by contract?
Yes. For every parcel shipped you are guaranteed a minimum of €3.00 (VAT included).
How much can I earn per month?
It depends on how many parcels you handle. With the minimum commission of €3.00: 50 parcels a month is €150.00, 100 parcels is €300.00, 300 parcels is €900.00 and 600 parcels is €1,800.00 a month, not counting the extra volume percentage or the pick-up and drop-off fees.
Open the simulator →When are commissions paid?
Commissions are paid within the first 15 days of the following month. You can also download your monthly earnings invoice from your dashboard with a single click, without having to prepare it yourself.
Are there other ways to earn besides the per-parcel commission?
Yes. We charge the customer €10.00 to collect a parcel that was not delivered to your LocalHub and €10.00 to drop off a parcel at a point (when the courier does not collect it after the customer’s pick-up request); the LocalHub keeps those amounts in full. In addition, when a customer comes to your shop to collect their parcel in person (after an ID check), you keep 50 % of the fee they pay: between €0.50 and €1.50 per parcel, depending on their plan.
Do I earn a commission if the customer uses a pick up with their own carrier?
It depends on what the customer chooses. If the customer’s courier (their own carrier) collects the parcel from your LocalHub, there is no shipment handled by Forwarding.es, so there is no shipment commission (the €3.00 minimum only applies to shipments) and the customer has not chosen for you to take the parcel to another point. In that case you keep the pick-up handling fee: between €0.50 and €1.50 per parcel unit, depending on the customer’s plan. If the customer also books a drop-off at a point, you keep €10.00 per parcel unit in full; and if the customer collects the parcel at your shop in person, you keep 50 % of the in-person collection fee. In your dashboard, under “Your earnings for this parcel”, you can always see what applies in each case.
What commission do I earn for each type of shipment or service?
This table summarises every option the customer can choose and what you earn on each. Amounts follow the current rates and are paid in the monthly payout.
| Customer service | What you earn | Amount | When you get paid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domestic or international shipment | Commission for handling the shipment | Minimum €3.00 per parcel, plus a % of the carrier cost depending on your volume | When the shipment leaves |
| Pick up with the customer’s own carrier (no drop-off) | Pick-up handling fee: there is no shipment, so there is no shipment commission | Between €0.50 and €1.50 per parcel unit, depending on the customer’s plan | When the request is completed |
| Pick up with own carrier + drop-off (leaving the parcel at a point) | Drop-off fee, entirely yours | €10.00 per parcel unit | When the request is completed |
| In-person collection at your LocalHub | 50 % of the in-person collection fee | Between €0.50 and €1.50 per parcel, depending on the customer’s plan | When the request is completed |
| Collection of a parcel not delivered to your LocalHub | Collection fee, entirely yours | €10.00 | When the customer pays it |
| Counter shipment (customer paying at your shop) | Standard shipment commission + your optional surcharge | €3.00 minimum + surcharge of up to €150.00 | You keep it at the till when you charge the customer; it is deducted from your monthly invoice |
| Customs duties advanced by the LocalHub | Refund of the amount advanced + advance surcharge | Amount advanced + a 10 % surcharge on that amount | When the customer pays it |
How many parcels a month does a LocalHub receive?
Customers are assigned as they sign up and they are the ones who request shipments, so we cannot set one figure for everyone. The system is automated and configured so that LocalHubs with fewer parcels or customers get priority over others.
Is a minimum parcel volume assigned to new partners?
No fixed minimum volume is set, but new LocalHubs get priority over others that already have customers assigned or parcels in storage, so that they start receiving activity as soon as possible.
Do customers need to visit my shop for me to earn money?
No. Parcels arrive and leave by courier: you earn extra income without customers having to walk into your shop. Customers who do come to collect a parcel in person are additional income.
Requirements & sign-up
What requirements do I need to meet to become a LocalHub?
A street-level shop or business operating in mainland Spain, with its activity registered (form 036/037), the ID/tax ID of the manager or the company, space to store parcels (minimum 10 m²), a mobile phone or tablet, an internet / WiFi connection, an A4 printer and opening hours that allow courier pick-ups. A thermal printer is optional.
See requirements and apply →Can I apply if I do not yet have a premises or a registered business activity?
No. You must already have your premises open and your business activity registered.
What documents do I need to submit?
When you send your application you attach form 036/037 (registration of your activity) and the ID/tax ID of the manager or the company, as PDF, JPG or PNG. We review them and, if everything is in order, send you the collaboration contract.
What is the process to become a LocalHub?
There are four steps: 1) you send your application with your business, storage space and documents; 2) we review the documents; 3) Forwarding.es and your shop sign the collaboration contract; 4) we activate your dashboard and you start receiving parcels and earning for each one.
What happens after I submit the form?
You will receive a confirmation email. We will review your documents and send you the collaboration contract. Your application stays pending until the contract is signed; as soon as it is, we activate your dashboard. Submitting the form commits you to nothing.
Can I be a LocalHub if my shop is outside mainland Spain?
No. For now we only accept shops with a business activity and premises in mainland Spain.
What kind of shop can be a LocalHub?
Any street-level shop or business with a registered activity in mainland Spain (form 036/037), opening hours that allow courier pick-ups and at least 10 m² of space to store parcels.
Running your LocalHub day to day
How do I manage the parcels?
Everything is done from your dashboard with a simple mobile phone or tablet: you register incoming parcels, handle requests and create shipments. No special software or equipment is needed.
How are labels and courier pick-ups created?
The label, the courier pick-up and the tracking number are generated automatically in a couple of clicks. You only need to print the label and stick it on the parcel.
What types and sizes of parcels can I receive?
Our service does not accept pallets and 99 % of customers send small parcels: purchases from Amazon, Wallapop, Vinted, etc.
Do I have to hire staff?
Only if you need to. It is not required: the vast majority of LocalHubs are run personally by their owner. If your business ends up handling large parcel volumes, expanding your team is your decision.
What opening hours do I have to offer?
You need opening hours that allow you to handle courier pick-ups.
Do I get support if I have questions or problems?
Yes. You get support almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with dedicated WhatsApp and email attention for our LocalHubs.

Do I have to buy any specific packaging?
No. We recycle and reuse boxes whenever possible: for example, when a customer asks to consolidate their parcels, boxes in good condition are not thrown away and are reused for other consolidations. If you need boxes, just ask us and we will send them to you.
Do I have to buy the labels?
No. A simple A4 printer, the kind used at home, is enough.
What additional costs would I have to cover?
Practically none: the only costs for the shop are the paper to print documents and labels (A4 sheets are enough). There is no investment, no stock and no fees: just your space, a mobile phone or tablet and a printer.
Do I need a special printer?
No. A regular A4 printer is enough. A thermal label printer is optional, in case you prefer a more convenient way to print.
Contract & terms
Is there a lock-in period or any commitment?
No. There is no lock-in period, no obligations and no penalties. We are confident that our shops stay with us because of the quality of the service and, above all, the commissions.
Is there zone exclusivity?
No. There is no zone exclusivity: several shops in the same city can be LocalHubs at the same time.
Does applying commit me to anything?
No. The form is a no-commitment application: it stays pending until the contract between Forwarding.es and your shop is signed, and there is no lock-in period or obligations.
Where can I get my other questions answered before deciding?
You can download the LocalHub dossier as a PDF from the application page, or write to us on WhatsApp or by email (info@forwarding.es): we will reply as soon as possible.
